March 27

Stop and consider that God iscommunicating every day in the life of every person on the planet. God is seekingto communicate clearly, speaking into every soul and talking to them about whoGod is, who they are, the choices they are making, about the lives they areliving. God is seeking to communicate with each one of us.

Listening with one’s heart opens usup to this experience. The “ear of the heart” calls into the depth of our soulswith revelation. We are called to recognize God’s revelation and also to bringrevelation.  So, as we listen, we areanticipating, it’s a call to arms with the weapons of God, love and peace andhope.  God calls us to come alongsideanother person and to be his voice, maybe by lifting something.  We’re called to do the thing that will makelife work, that will show them, reveal to them that there is a differentexperience, a bigger reality, than just what’s inside them.

So many people believe that peopleare against them, that they have to battle to make it through each day, thatthey don’t live in a world of choices.  We get to be God’s revelation that Love issupreme. So, we forgive when we shouldn’t, we assist when it gains us nothing,we offer when it will steal away our time, we listen to the one who has novoice and we get quiet by those who cannot face another moment, they think. Weanswer the call in our heart, that says, “There. Join me. Do it now.”

Prayer: Living Lord, heal my soul with the ointmentof your grace. Open the ears of my heart to hear the movement of the Spirit inthe world around me.  Help me to beattentive to the movement in the lives of those I meet, so that I can be readyto hear you to come alongside you. I want to be ready when you say, “Give me ahand with this.”  I know that as I amable to hear you more, I will be able to recognize your work within me as well.Amen.

Read all these Scriptures today. Then read one a day for three times during that day on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Monday and Tuesday. And on Sunday, give yourself a break and share a meal with others.
